Project Details:

Frontera Construction was selected by private contract to build a new 6,287 square foot veterinary hospital, diagnostic center, and large animal clinic in Eagle Pass, Texas.  It was the second project for the owner of the veterinary hospital and diagnostic center in Del Rio, TX.  The project site started with a large metal building that had previously operated as a car dealership.  A large addition was made to enlarge the building at the front.  It was constructed using metal framing and an EIFS wall finish.  There are numerous exam rooms, surgery rooms, dental surgery areas, kennels, offices, along with a CT room and X-ray room.  The walls and ceilings are insulated with spray-on, closed cell, fire retardant foam.  The floors are stained and sealed concrete, and there is custom mill-work and cabinetry, along with granite counter-tops throughout.  The prior service department was turned into an equine and large animal treatment area after the main veterinary clinic portion was completed and in operation.  This area was lined with FRP panels and includes several overhead doors for drive through access, steel working chutes, and its’ own storage and restroom areas.  This project was also completed within a short timeline.  Demolition started in May of 2017 and the project was completed in December of 2017.
