Project Details:
Frontera Construction was chosen by a sealed, competitive bid process to build the new Blended Academy Campus in Del Rio, Texas.  The campus consisted of 2 existing instructional buildings that had been vacant for many years.  The interior of the 13,122 square foot main classroom building was completely demolished and rebuilt during the construction phase.  During construction, the other adjacent 13,200 square foot classroom building was kept open for normal school classroom function.  The newly remodeled building consisted of new ADA restrooms, HVAC, fire rated corridors, roofing, new science rooms, electrical, and all new finishes.  The finishes include VCT and ceramic tile floors and walls, hollow metal door frames, stained wood doors, suspended ceilings, and laminate cabinets and countertops.  The building exterior was refreshed with a new thin brick façade, entrances, ADA access ramps, windows, canopies, fencing, and new parking and fire lanes.  Upon completion of the renovation, the adjacent and occupied classroom building was lightly renovated to match the main building and connected with covered walkways, canopies and fencing.
